this is an animation I made using 3Dmax9

For those who still think gear timing is NOT a myth. Eat yer heart out. smile.gif

nice work. The whole gear timing thing is just to make sure your gears aren't under the tappet plate or engaged in the gear off timing.

Actually it would be pretty cool to add in the simi auto cut off, trigger, and a selector that switches between simi and full a couple of time

Amazing work. The closest I've ever seen to showing how a gearbox works is an animated .gif image. This should be spread all across the internet.

It is truly amazing. What software did you use and how long did it take to create. A++

As habit, I always time my gears when putting GBs together. Not so much that it must be done, but as a habit it makes me recheck everything in the box before I put the shell back on. Just a way to remember that I need to make sure I have everything right.

Nice work on the animation. Now if you can animate it so that n00bs won't buy crappy guns then complain that they don't work....

thanks guys! I used 3D Studio MAX9 by Discreet/Autodesk...

I swear... buy a book and just spend a week learning the software... you can do that kind of animation. Compared to the works of other 3D hobbyists that animation is actually a piece-of-cake. To me that's about the limit of what I can do. hehe

You may not understand your position. Your diagram may become as widespread as some of the information on airsoftmechanics.
